Cervical Smears
All women between the age of 25 and 64 should have a regular smear test every three to five years. We send out appointment reminders to all of our patients to let you know when your next smear is due NHS Cervical Screening Information
Your cervical screening results are usually sent to you in a letter. However, sometimes you may be asked to call your GP Surgery to get the results.
Child Development
We send out appointments for regular checks and immunisations for pre-school children. This is to make sure that our doctors and health visitors can check that children are developing normally and that there’s nothing to worry about

Health Screening
We offer a wide range of health screening for men and women at our surgery.
Screening is a way of finding out if people have a higher chance of having a health problem, so that early treatment can be offered or information given to help them make informed decisions.

Maternity Care
A large part of your care will be carried out by your midwife. You will see the midwife at an early stage in your pregnancy for a booking appointment, when you will be given a lot of information about antenatal care, blood tests, scans and preparing for parenthood. Please contact the midwifery service soon after you have found out that you are pregnant.
The location of your midwife will depend on where you live . All pregnant ladies are asked to ring the centralised booking team on 0117 342 0850
Booking your first antenatal appointment - BNSSG is an NHS service providing a single point of access for all maternity referrals in the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire area. The aim is to make sure you have access to the right care from day one. BNSSG will triage your referral based on the information you provide and the hospital will contact you to start your antenatal care. In the meantime if you are worried about your pregnancy, please tell your GP straight away.

Mental Health
We offer appointments with our specialist Mental Health Nurse for patients suffering from depression, stress, anxiety, alcohol/drug problems, low mood, post-traumatic stress disorder, panic attacks, phobias, eating disorders, personality disorder, suicidal thoughts, self-harm and pre/post-natal depression and anxiety.
Please note that this particular service isn't available for patients under the age of 18. If your mental health condition is not listed above, please check in with a member of our Navigation Team.
